The literary pattern of this psalm
Praise from heaven
Praise ye the Lord
Praise from angels (2) - Praise from nature in the heavens (3, 4)
Reasons for praise: His act of creation; He established all (5, 6a)
He made a permanent decree [everlasting covenant] (6b)
Praise from earth
Praise from nature on earth (7-10) - Praise from humans (11, 12)
Reasons for praise: For His godly ones [recreated into His likeness] (14a)
Praise ye the Lord (14b)
The pattern isn't
as simple as some because it is both linear and chiastic.
You and I may praise Him, too. What a privilege!
