¶ Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children
of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of

this ... against you The Lord begins a condemnation of His people
for breaking the covenant. It is called a covenant lawsuit or an aharit.
You only have I known Or "chosen." Punishment for sin depends on the opportunity we have had to know God ac1730. The chosen ones are the defendant in the case. The special relationship ended when the Jewish nation refused the Messiah who had come to confirm the covenant da0927a, mt2142f.
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?
5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?
